ADHD Assessment

Every child has moments when they are distracted, impulsive, or have difficulty staying organized. However, when these challenges begin to interfere with learning, relationships, daily routines, or overall functioning, families often find themselves searching for answers. An ADHD assessment can help identify whether attention and executive functioning differences are contributing to these challenges while providing practical guidance for moving forward.
At ANCKRD, we provide comprehensive ADHD evaluations that look beyond attention alone. Our goal is to understand how a child thinks, learns, organizes information, regulates behavior, and functions across different environments. By evaluating cognitive abilities, executive functioning, attention, academic performance, and behavioral functioning together, we develop a complete understanding of each individual's unique profile.
Led by Kristen Wilson, LPES, NCSP, our evaluations are individualized, evidence-based, and designed to provide families with meaningful answers, practical recommendations, and a clear path forward. Whether concerns have recently emerged or have become more noticeable over time, we are committed to helping families better understand their child's needs while supporting long-term academic and personal success.

Who May Benefit from an ADHD Assessment?
An ADHD evaluation may be a helpful next step for children or adolescents who:
- Have difficulty maintaining attention during schoolwork or daily activities
- Frequently appear distracted or forgetful
- Struggle with organization, planning, or completing assignments
- Have difficulty following multi-step directions
- Display impulsive behaviors that interfere with learning or relationships
- Experience challenges with emotional regulation or frustration tolerance
- Have concerns raised by parents, teachers, physicians, or other professionals
- Show inconsistent academic performance despite strong ability
- Need diagnostic clarification to support educational planning or accommodations

Attention difficulties can have many possible causes. A comprehensive evaluation helps determine whether ADHD or other factors may be contributing to a child's challenges, while identifying the strengths that can support future growth.
Our ADHD Assessment Process
Every family's experience is a little different, but most evaluations move through the following steps. Throughout the process, our priority is to keep you informed, comfortable, and supported.
- 1
Initial Consultation
Every evaluation begins with a complimentary consultation where we talk through your concerns, your child's developmental and educational history, and the goals of the assessment. This helps determine whether a comprehensive ADHD evaluation is the right next step.
- 2
Comprehensive Background Review
We gather detailed information about developmental history, educational records, previous evaluations, medical history, and parent and teacher input, along with how your child is functioning across home and school settings.
- 3
Individualized Assessment
Assessment may include cognitive and academic testing, executive functioning and attention measures, behavior rating scales, clinical interviews, and observations that together build a complete understanding of attention, learning, and behavior.
- 4
Feedback Session
Once testing is complete, we meet with you to review the findings in clear, everyday language. We explain the results, discuss strengths and areas of need, answer your questions, and walk through individualized recommendations.
- 5
Comprehensive Written Report
You receive a detailed written report that summarizes the findings, includes diagnostic conclusions when appropriate, and provides practical recommendations to support success at home, in school, and throughout daily life.
Personalized Recommendations
Every evaluation ends with clear, individualized recommendations. Because no two children are alike, these are always tailored to your child's specific profile and written to be practical at home and at school. Depending on what the assessment reveals, recommendations may include:
Recommendations are never one-size-fits-all. They are chosen to fit your child, your family, and the settings where your child learns and grows.
